The original building and its iconic features will be respectfully renovated, transforming it into an exclusive retreat on Edinburgh’s most famous street. With uninterrupted views of Edinburgh Castle, 100 Princes Street will replicate the boutique atmosphere of its London sister property in our collection, Hotel 41. Led by the design team behind the iconic Ashford Castle in Ireland – Toni Tollman, Philippe Bonino and Brian Brennan – this restoration will look to protect and retain the original heart and soul of 100 Princes Street. Inspired by Alexander McQueen, the design team sought to create a sense of place, working with local artisans to create bespoke pieces. These custom interior design features will include tartan designed by Araminta Campbell and a central staircase which features a hand-painted mural by Croxford & Saunders, honoring the adventures of several great Scottish explorers. In celebration of the beautiful city of Edinburgh, the heritage of Scotland, and the exclusive address of the former Overseas League, 100 Princes Street is inspired by the rich history of the many great Scottish explorers and adventurers who made this historic building their ‘home away from home’.
