WHAT IS A “MY PRIVATE ADVENTURE”?

“My Private Adventure” offers exclusivity and the utmost of privacy in an intimate small-group experience and are perfect for those who prefer to travel either with their own family and friends, or alongside other THIRDHOME club members who join in to participate and share this Adventure with you, creating the ultimate club camaraderie experience.

Members will enjoy featured inclusive “designed just for you” activities and amenities with our THIRDHOME Premium Experiences built into this unique Adventure; while accommodations throughout each Adventure remains 4-5-star uniquely dependent on each destination we curate.

This Adventure requires 8-10 participants, and sleeps a maximum of 10 people.

Deposits & Final Payments are non-refundable for all My Private Adventures; however if alternate dates of stay can be confirmed with the villa owner then we make this possible, should the need arise for booked members to change their travel plans due to COVID-19 global circumstances and/or destination travel mandates that might arise during these specific dates of stay.

The Peloponnese is a beautiful part of Greece with bountiful olive trees, awe-inspiring historical sites, blue coastal water and friendly people. Sitting on a hill above all this with amazing views is The Olive Retreat. Before we arrived in Greece, we had already had several welcoming emails from the caretaker Stella who clearly wanted to help us plan a remarkable trip. She gave us perfect and detailed directions to the house and met us there to show us around. As we drove up the olive tree lined private driveway, the stunning home comes into view. It is an architectural beauty. It is open and airy on the first floor with a kitchen that met all of our needs. There are two bedrooms on the first floor and two on the second floor, each with an ensuite bathroom and patio. All of the four bedrooms have amazing views, especially nice for watching both sunrise and sunset. While the house is perfectly beautiful, it was also comfortable and provided us a wonderful place to relax after sightseeing all day as well as a lovely place just to sit and read. We cannot say enough about how much Stella helped make our vacation such a memorable one. Her knowledge of the house as well as the surrounding countryside provided us with enough information so that we could find the most amazing castles, ruins, museums, olive-pressing facility, stores, and restaurants. She did all of this with such professionalism, friendliness and expertise. She was always available to assist us and responded quickly whenever we called her. We would love to return to The Olive Retreat one day

This house is simply stunning – luxurious but understated, modern but perfectly in tune with it’s surroundings with everything that you might possibly need. There are four large beautiful en-suite bedrooms with a stunning open plan kitchen, sitting room and dining area all opening onto the pool, plus there’s extra accommodation for staff downstairs too. I arrived exhausted but within two days I felt rested, relaxed and rejuvenated – retreat is the right word. The house is very privately situated down a lane set amongst an olive grove with lots of Mediterranean planting close to the house – the scent of herbs and jasmine fills the air. It is the sort of place that you really do not need to leave but there is lots to see and do locally : stunning beaches, pretty towns, ancient ruins and Venetian castles all within half an hour. The whole area is unspoilt and tourism low key. Stella the house manager is at the end of the phone if you need her and couldn’t be more helpful. I loved it so much that we’re going back next year ….. Thank you for a wonderful week.

We visited this truly fantastic villa for a week in late December. We had a great time and we are happy to confirm that this was perhaps the best villa we have ever stayed in. Although there was only two of us staying it this extraordinary space, it was clear that this villa has been set up to host larger groups. The villa has beautiful bedrooms and the living space and bedrooms all overlook the spectacular view over the olive groves and down to the bay. Lots of restaurants and sightseeing options, and to cap it all our villa hostess – Stella – assisted us with restaurant bookings, bike rentals and was always available to help us. We loved our visit and next time we will travel with our golf clubs rather than our cycling shorts. A big big thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay at this villa.

We spent a week at this stunning property and couldn’t have been more pleased. A beautifully appointed, modern house with all possible amenities .comfortable beds, great showers, well equipped kitchen, great pool and very relaxing outdoor area. We visited Gialova and Pylos, all nearby charming villages with great restaurants, shops and bars. The waterfall and beach were stunning. Stella, was aptly named villa manager, as she was indeed a star and looked after our every need, transportation around the region, restaurant reservations and even a yoga session by the pool. Stella, the villa hostess-manager and her team were in and out of the house providing us with a level of unobtrusive service rarely found elsewhere. Stella is a Diamond… The pictures of the house are impressive but nothing prepares you for the location, design, build quality and presentation of this home. The owners have spared no expense in fitting out their home and it really could be “No 1 Third Home”. It is going to be hard to beat but The Olive Retreat is very very special. The time and effort that has been invested here shows. We loved it, favorite house ever! The area is stunning, unspoilt yet with many really nice relaxed restaurants nearby to spend warm evenings relaxing. Catching a coffee under a tree in the square in Pylos while watching the fishermen selling their catch is a simple yet rare unique pleasure. The many sites of archeological interest rival any others in Greece and importantly are within easy reach. The tranquility and friendliness of people found here is such a change from the more developed areas around Europe we are more familiar with. Our owner-hosts, Guy and Catherine, were over the top in their generosity and a perfect welcome pack greeted us on arrival. Golf bookings during our stay were hard to secure but with the help of Stella and Guy we secured the tee times we wanted. The bar of expectations has now been set so high for the rest of us, it is hard to see how we could possibly surpass this location, house or the level of hospitality extended to us by Guy, Catherine, Stella and Team. We had been to the Romanos area of the Southern Pelleponesse before and were delighted to find this house on Third Home. As usual there was some worry about whether our assessment of the property would be accurate. Well this place completely exceeded our expectations! The villa is an architectural masterpiece sited on a hill overlooking the sea and mountains, and completely surrounded by an olive orchard. Every detail of the house was perfect and it was set up almost like a hotel with a large service area in the basement with a second (commercial) kitchen and every possible support function. We paid for the magnificent pool to be heated and were in it everyday. The patio is huge and a great place to read or eat or just look at the amazing view.. Nearby are countless famous archeological sites and plenty of good restaurants. Nearby you can sail or dive in the Ionian Sea. And to top it all off there is Stella who manages the property expertly and tenderly. You will not find on a better property on Third Home.
