From remote islands and less-traveled roads to the bustling communities of historic Dublin, this Adventure brings together the best of the Emerald Isle. Come to know the culture and welcoming hospitality of the Irish in Dublin, Ireland’s rollicking capital city. Step off the beaten path in the seaside village of Kinsale, known as Ireland’s “gourmet capital.” Overnight amongst a labyrinth of stone walls on the remote and enchanting Aran Islands. Discover the windswept terrain of West Cork’s Wild Atlantic Way, one of Ireland’s most scenic coastal routes, before arriving in charming Killarney. Travel amongst the tranquil countryside and windswept valleys of the Dingle Peninsula. Give traditional Irish fare a modern twist during a cooking class at one of Dublin’s premier culinary institutions. Raise a glass and celebrate a journey unlike any other through Ireland while slumbering in deluxe accommodations throughout this Adventure.

This is a private THIRDHOME small-group tour with a maximum occupancy of 24 participants which provides travelers access into activities off-the-beaten path in Ireland.   The group size is kept small, allowing this Adventure to be the most engaging and rewarding experience possible.  On this active, immersive journey, travelers will connect with the culture of Ireland in a deeper more authentic way. Arrival to Dublin

Arrival into Dublin via your independent flights. Upon arrival, you will be met and greeted at the airport for transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the late afternoon at leisure (depending on your arrival flight time). Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a private tour and welcome reception in the Crypt of Christ Church Cathedral. Within the medieval walls of the city’s oldest structure, surrounded by nearly 1,000 years of Irish myths and legends, toast the start of an incredible adventure. Dinner this evening is on your own. Overnight accommodations at The Hampton Hotel.

DUBLIN

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, venture out for a guided tour through many of the Dublin’s magnificent sights. Exalt in the culture and color of Ireland’s world-famous shopping thoroughfare, Grafton Street. Get lost inside the gardens of St. Stephen’s Green, and marvel at the electric green expanse of the largest enclosed city park in all of Europe, Phoenix Park. This evening, enjoy some good craic (Gaelic translation for fun) – as we put a modern twist on Irish cuisine during a cooking class at one of Dublin’s premier culinary institutions. Dublin – Irish National Stud, Midleton, & Kinsale

After breakfast, depart Dublin and embark on a journey through Ireland’s scenic country roads. Tour the Irish National Stud, an area of incredible natural beauty that’s home to regal thoroughbreds and opulent gardens. Head south to the Old Midleton Distillery, home of Jameson Irish Whiskey. Give it a go with a tasting of the distillery’s production. Continue on to the quaint coastal village of Kinsale and enjoy a guided walking tour (lunch on your own). This evening, it’s “Diner’s Choice” in Ireland’s gourmet capital, where you may choose the perfect spot from an established menu of Kinsale’s great restaurants that will be provided for you. Kinsale – Choose Excursion to Cobh or Relax in Kinsale

It’s your choice today! Enjoy breakfast and opt to visit the seaside town of Cobh, the last stop of the RMS Titanic. Explore this historic port alongside a local guide; this is the place where 2.5 million Irish people left their native land for new frontiers -OR- spend a leisurely day in Kinsale and enjoy its many galleries, shops and cafes. Lunch & Dinner are on your own today. Overnight accommodations at Actons Hotel. (B included)

Kinsale – Garnish Island & Killarney

After breakfast, depart Kinsale towards Killarney, embarking on the extraordinary drive of a lifetime along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. You’ll fall in love with the quaint towns and charming villages that inhabit this iconic coastal route. Board a ferry and sail to a place that must be seen to be believed, Garnish Island. Sheltered in the Glengarrif harbor of Bantry Bay, this hidden island is home to one of Ireland’s most beautiful gardens. Continue over the Cork and Kerry mountains to Killarney via the breathtaking Caha Pass. Lunch & Dinner on your own today. Overnight accommodations at Killarney Plaza Hotel. (B included)

Killarney – Dingle “Your Choice” Day

Following breakfast, enjoy a guided tour not far from the rollicking pubs of Killarney where the enchanting hills and the and weather-worn bluffs of Dingle await you. Travel through a maze of green to Ireland’s most westerly point, Slea Head, where the locals will remind you that, “the next parish over is Boston.” This afternoon, take the opportunity to explore Dingle’s country lanes on foot or enjoy time at leisure on your own in Dingle Town to wander through the pubs that double as hardware stores and where the Guinness is always freshly-tapped. Overnight accommodations are at Killarney Plaza Hotel. (B included)

Killarney – Cliffs of Moher & Aran Islands (Inisheer)

After breakfast, depart Killarney’s rugged southern coast and embark on an journey, the likes of which you’ve never seen. Board a ferry bound for Inisheer, the smallest of the three Aran Islands, taking in unrivalled views while sailing beneath the iconic Cliffs of Moher. Upon arriving in Inisheer’s ethereal landscape, explore the island on a private tour through the labyrinth of stone walls blanketing the island. Learn about the island’s 250 inhabitants, their livelihoods and devotion to traditional culture and customs. Late afternoon, settle into your island’s historic B&B accommodations, set amidst the desolate yet striking beauty for an experience that’s totally unparalleled. Enjoy a lovely dinner and slumber away at the Tigh Ruairi Inn. (B, D included)

Aran Islands (Inisheer) – Ennis

Enjoy a morning to sleep in, or wake early for a sunrise hike to O’Brien Castle (but don’t leave out the fantastic traditional Irish Breakfast). Greet the sun as it rises over the Irish mainland and illuminates Inisheer’s picturesque stone walls. Later, explore the island further with your local guide and dive into a fun local culture during a knitting workshop and learn traditional methods and stitches used to make the famous Aran sweaters. Don’t worry if you’re not a knitter, you’ll be a pro before you know it! Next, experience the traditional craft of making the St. Brigid’s Cross. Throughout Ireland you will see these crosses affixed to homes to ward off evil and danger. This early evening, depart by ferry back to the mainland, where upon arrival you will be transferred to your Ennis hotel. Relax and enjoy a finale group dinner. Ennis – Tour Ends in Shannon

After breakfast, say farewell to all your newfound friends as your journey comes to a close today, leaving you with the spirit of Ireland in your heart forever. Transportation from the hotel to the Shannon airport is provided. (B included)

DUBLIN PUB LUNCH & THE GUINNESS STOREHOUSE

$75 per person Duration: 3.5 hours

Enjoy a traditional pub lunch at a historic pub. After lunch, continue on to the nearby Guinness Storehouse, Ireland’s top international visitor attraction. Learn about the brewing process that creates this beloved beverage and discover the technique needed to pour the perfect pint! Classic Guinness memorabilia creates the perfect ambiance as you indulge in a pint and learn about a key part of Ireland’s history.

Please Note: Children under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult and may not participate in the tasting at the Guinness Storehouse.  Ground transportation is provided for this activity with our group tour.
