Alaska Northern Lights Adventure

From majestic snow-capped mountains to glacier icebergs and the phenomenal Northern Lights, explore the last frontier of Alaska

Mon Mar 22 – Sun Mar 28, 2021

Anchorage, Alaska

Discover one of the most sought-after experiences in America – the northern lights. Due to its close proximity to the Arctic Circle, Alaska is one of the best places to see the Aurora Borealis. This natural phenomenon is the product of collisions between electrically charged particles from the sun that enter the earth’s atmosphere, yielding spectacular results through the night’s sky. Streaks of colorful light that change from white to pink to purple, and brilliant green, dazzle and move through the open sky like nature’s own electrical light-show. The best time to viewing the northern lights is from late August through April.  Explore many of the natural wonders of The Last Frontier, from its snowy peaks to its glaciers and icebergs. Venture out with a local guide in search for the northern lights in Fairbanks. Visit the Golden Heart of Alaska, Fairbanks, and wander this charming local town along with others on our route; bond with native sled dogs on a mushing trek through serene forests. Experience a winter glacier cruise among drifting icebergs and encounter magnificent whales, playful otters, and other wildlife. See Denali – the continent’s highest mountain – and understand why it is nicknamed “The Great One.” Glimpse into the past at Musk Ox Farm, a unique non-profit nestled in the pastoral Matanuska Valley, whose conservation efforts are focused on the preservation and education of the mighty musk oxen. Step into another time at the Antique Auto Museum, where vintage cars sit between timely artifacts and fashionable designer dresses. Journey via the scenic Alaskan Railroad on a picturesque route along a landscape of natural beauty, and enjoy dinner on board. Connect with the deeply rooted heritage of Alaska and encounter remarkable natural wonders on this memorable adventure!

This Alaska Northern Lights Adventure is a private small-group tour with an occupancy of 12-24 participants.  On this active, immersive journey, travelers will connect with the local culture of Alaska in an authentic and more intimate way. Our group size is kept small, allowing this Alaska Northern Lights Adventure to be a more engaging and rewarding experience.
