For the first time, the fourth-generation winemaker, Robert Mondavi and his beautiful wife Lydia have partnered with THIRDHOME to offer a fun and engaging “safer at home from Napa” exclusive wine event, curated especially for our Inner Circle Club Members. Indulge in this bespoke 3 barrel selection of Oakville Cabernet tasting moderated by Rob.
This will be a truly memorable wine and dinner experience with the opportunity to sip a limited edition masterfully blended 2017 Rutledge & Vine Cabernet Sauvignon while hearing harvesting stories told by Rob and Lydia. Together as a group, we will be led with the expertise and instruction of the French Laundry alum Chef Tyler Vorce (now Co-Founder of Truffle Shuffle), to prepare a delightful meal infused with heavenly black truffle. A culinary kit with all the ingredients will arrive at your doorstep; and we will enjoy a dinner paired with an included bottle of the 2017 Rutledge & Vine Cabernet Sauvignon (which will be shipped separately). Attendees have the opportunity to purchase additional limited quantity bottles should they wish. A finale announcement will be shared with participants to learn about yet another upcoming exclusive experience, so we encourage you to attend this extraordinary virtual experience with us!

Attendance to this exclusive virtual cooking class & wine event is limited in size to the first 60 households who RSVP and pay. Each household is defined by (1) Couple and additional guests may participate (please see “Who Can Participate” and how to “Upgrade to Attend” notes below).
Who Can Participate
This exclusive event is only available to USA residents who are Inner Circle Members (Founders, Chairman’s Club & Chairman’s Club Plus). Invitation minimum participation is for one (1) Couple, which includes 1 Member + 1 Guest; additional family members can be invited within your household or close circle of friends for the virtual cooking and wine event at the same cost per couple (refer to below event pricing).

Upgrade to Attend
If you would like to attend and participate in this exclusive event, any USA-based member of THIRDHOME can upgrade their membership to Chairman’s Club level for $1995 (this elevates your status within our Exchange program valid for one year from date of upgrade); in addition, members would be required to pay for the event cost of $395 per couple. Members upgrading will receive the advantages and perks applicable to Chairman’s Club membership status.

This event requires light to moderate physical activity, such as cooking within your home’s kitchen, while following along with Chef Tyler’s professional virtual instruction and the provided recipe, along with the provided Dinner kit ingredients.
HOSTS
ROBERT & LYDIA MONDAVI
Born in 1971, the son of Isabel and Michael Mondavi, Rob was raised in the Stag’s Leap district of Napa Valley, and spend much of his childhood among the vines and barrels at the Robert Mondavi Winery. An entrepreneur from a young age, he started his own business hosting bike tours through the Napa Valley wine country curating vineyard and winery discussions for his participants. After college, Rob worked for regional winemakers and progressed into sales, and later established the Napa Cigar Company in 1995 while importing premium cigars. In 2000, he formally joined the Robert Mondavi Corporation overseeing everything from luxury brand sales, direction of marketing and spearheading the brand’s hospitality operations and trade marketing programs. Perfecting the art of winemaking and learning the craft of blending, tasting and the vineyard processes, while also maintaining a key focus on green farming, Rob’s expertise has resulted in a new generation of extraordinary wines.
At his home in Stag’s Leap, Rob and his wife Lydia are raising their two sons within a charming English Bungalow-style home built in 1913 that sits on a historic parcel of land. Tucked away on the gently sloping red earth soil of Oakville, California, and perched along the picturesque Silverado Trail at Skellenger Lane, sits the iconic boutique vineyard of Rutledge & Vine. Because of Mother Earth’s unique terroir, the berries are grown with the harmoniously perfect balance of sugar, tannin, aromatics, and mouthfeel. It is here at home where Rob personally attends to the 1-acre goblet training Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard, and where the long tradition of great wine making along with his personal modern expression of the old world craftsmanship occurs…and where all the beautiful magic happens!

Important Details to Know Before the Event
Truffle Shuffle Dinner Kits: This event has a pre-arranged set menu that cannot be altered nor substituted. Each kit will serve two people, and will arrive with all the ingredients measured out precisely for two dinners, along with a recipe; if you are a single participant, then you will receive the same size kit which you can prepare both servings and/or save for another meal. Each Truffle Shuffle Dinner Kit box will be shipped directly to your home via UPS Next Day Air approximately two days before our class event. THIRDHOME will provide shipment tracking details ahead of time.
Rutledge & Vine Wine Bottles: This event features an included (1) bottle of the limited produced master-blend 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon wine; in addition we have been provided a limited number of additional bottles available for purchase. Each participant will be required to pay for shipping of the (1) single bottle and/or any additional bottles that participants wish to purchase – please INQUIRE WITH LIZ for special pricing and shipping costs to be incurred. Due to tax laws defined by USA state of residency and alcohol sales, each participant will be provided a final quote based on your total wine order and shipping address location (participant credit cards will incur a separate charge for shipping costs that Eagle Rock will process). Wine bottles will be shipped directly to your home by Eagle Rock, the established shipping courier for Rutledge & Vine. THIRDHOME will provide shipment tracking details ahead of time. Wine shipments will require signature, so signees would be required to be of legal age for releasing the wine per shipping courier and state laws.
OPTIONAL SAVE YOUR SPOT on the exclusive MAY 2023 THIRDHOME+Mondavi Wine Adventure: We are still crafting the extraordinary adventure itinerary with Rob & Lydia to ensure that each day of our upcoming 2023 journey will be a remarkable wine experience curated to perfection, with very enriching cultural and historical opportunities infused with rare dining and tasting highlights throughout. An extremely limited # of seats will be offered in this intimate and personal experience alongside Rob & Lydia as our expert wine hosts, for approximately 16-20 people. Once announced, this limited-space adventure will require an adventure deposit to confirm your attendance. SAVE YOUR SPOT for only $50 per person (non-refundable), however this fee will be applied as a payment towards the adventure cost.
